[How To] Install Or Port Siri (GUI) On To Your iPhone 4 And iPod Touch 4G iOS5 Devices

How To Install/Port Siri On iPhone 4 and iPod Touch Running iOS 5 :

Unlike previous methods there is now an easy way available to port/install Siri on to the Older iOS Devices like iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4G.As we all know by now that Siri is one of the 10 best features Apple iPhone 4S and it is a Voice-recognizing personal assistant for you, which does whatever command you prompt it to do. You can Send twitter tweets and can even Update your Facebook status using Siri without even touching your iPhone 4S. So far there is no best way to install Siri GUI and now a method is available with which you can actually install Siri onto iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4G, which are older iOS devices. As mentioned in the previous sentence the port is GUI so there wont be any chance of using voice commands on your older iOS devices after installing Siri on to them.

The fact behind this is that, whatever the voice input is given by you through Siri cant be accepted by the Apple’s servers, as they allow this feature only through iPhone 4S and not through any other iOS devices. So,you might ask me then whats the use of this?Though there is no satisfactory answer to this but still can say that tricking Apple servers from older devices is not so far as the hackers are still finding ways which are pretty much progressive and this is another step taken by them. This is just like showing it off without any practical use or functionality. It’s just a way hackers proved that the graphical elements of Siri can be incorporated into the Older iOS devices like iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4G.The below guide can be followed upon your own interest!

NOTE : This is not an encouragable method and I am not recommending it for anyone. It is strictly for educational purposes only and you might try if you want to at your own risk.

Step 1:

First you need to Use Redsn0w or Sn0wbreeze inorder to jailbreak your iPhone or iPod touch on iOS5.

Step 2:

Make sure that there are some files for older iOS devices, like iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4G that are to be downloaded. As I can’t provide the links for downloading here you need to download them from anyother sources, just make a google search.

Step 3:

In your iOS device by making use of a file explorer, you need to copy a file named AssistantServices.framework.You can find this file from the folder that you have searched and downloaded. That file must be copied to Root>>then to System>>Now to Library >> Finally into Private Frameworks and also make sure that you have plugged in your device via USB to your PC before following this step.

Step 4:

There are also files present in the Springboard Folder that you have downloaded by searching in google as mentioned in Step 2. copy them to Root >> Then to System >> Now to CoreServices>>Finally Springboard.app.

Step 5 :

Now you can get a file named iFile from Cydia and then you need to open the file “.plist” from System >> Library >> CoreServices >> Springboard.app.If it is for iPhone 4 the name will be N9x(where x = 0,1,2) and if it is for iPod touch 4G it the name will be N81AP.

Step 6 :

To the files “.plist” you need to add a new property list which is named as assistant and then its class must be set as Boolean, along with its value setting as YES.

Step 7 :

Now Input the below given to the “.plist file“.

<key>assistant</key><true/>

Step 8 :

Now Finally Respring your iOS Device.

If the above steps are followed carefully, you can easily install the Graphic User Interface of Siri on to your iOS devices .Inorder to activate it you can just Hold on Home button.
